Hello Atascadero, we're Mercedes and Kyle White, the owners and chefs of Wendy White's Bakery. We are so excited to be a part of the downtown community!
We're a husband and wife team that had a dream of opening our own bakery. Mercedes is a Pastry chef who has been baking in restaurants, bakeries and hotels for over 15 years,, and Kyle is a great cook and amazing people person, so we decided to combine forces and Wendy Whites was born! After 6 years in Kyle's home states of Virginia and Washington D.C., we've come back to Mercedes' California roots to make our dream a reality. We hope you love it as much as we do!

You may be wondering, if Mercedes and Kyle are the owners, who is Wendy? Well folks, it's me! I'm a rescue tortoiseshell cat who traveled with my owners back to California all the way from Washington D.C.! I'm loving my new home and all the friendly people, not to mention having my very own bakery named after me! Don't worry though, I'm not allowed anywhere near the food- I'll be snoozing at home in my comfy chair while my owners do all the work. That's fine with me as long as they bring home treats!
